What sets the T-series vehicle-mounted winch apart from the rest?
 
​The Novawinch T-Series Vehicle Mounted Electric Winch will let nothing get in the way of your recovery truck, lorry, pick-up or SUV/4x4. With a stronger motor armature vs. the competition and higher quality gearing and electronics, the T-Series vehicle winch can connect via 12v or 24v supply. This premium off-road winch is well protected with IP67 water resistance, heavy-duty reliable construction, a 500A sealed contactor and a 3-stage planetary gear for added grunt.

What is a straight line pull?

A straight line pull is the attachment from point A (Winch) to point B (Anchorage point) no twists, bends or angles at any point. 

 

Configurations of your winch... 

By ensuring there are no angles from connection point A to anchorage point B immensely reduces the strain and stress on the motor and 

reduces the potential of uneven winding on the drum of the winch, you should always check throughout the pull that the cable remains straight. 

A few examples below...

 

A pulley block can be added to your configuration to add the following benefits: increase load capacity, reduce stress and strain on winch and mechanisms! 

A key point to remember when using a pulley block is that the block itself should be rated to a minimum of 2x the winch pull line rating. 

From the winch to the first connection should always remain straight without any angles, twists or bends. 2nd line can have a slight angle (see fig. 1) 

 

 

 

  • Sealed winch body and anti-high temperature silver contacts 500A sealed contactor
  • All components conform to European safety regulation requiring a 50% overload test
  • Chrome-plated ergonomic free spool knob lifts and turns effortlessly. Easily rotate in 45 degrees gearbox design allows the winch to be mounted into a vehicle bumper

 

Key things to keep in mind when operating your winch:

 

  • Place your vehicle in neutral, apply the parking brake and chock all 4 wheels.
  • Disconnect the clutch first then use the hand saver bar to pull the wire rope and hitch hook.
  • All correct PPE should be worn when operating or using the winch.
  • Your engine should be running to ensure the battery has constant power.
  • Do not lift vertically. 
  • Never use your winch in a situation of lacking voltage.
  • Do not disconnect free pools clutch when your winch is under load.
  • Do not move people.
  • After operation release, the load, do not continue to leave the winch or rope under tension or pressure.
  • Always stand clear of the wire rope, hook and winch
  • Never place your fingers near mechanisms or around potential pinch zones in operation or when active, 
  • Do not pull the wire rope using your fingers directly through the hook.
  • Regular maintenance of your winch can extend the life expectancy and functionality when in operation. 
  • Should there be something wrong at any point cut the battery and power then check immediately?
