ALWAYS FULLY CERTIFIED

All Dee Shackles, otherwise abbreviated to ‘D’ Shackles, supplied by Lifting Equipment Store are manufactured to the most stringent quality standards and fully certified to deliver you with total peace a mind and the highest levels of safety.

As you probably guess, Dee Shackles get their name from being shaped similar to the letter ‘D’. The entrance to the shackle is the same width as the whole shackle body, making D Shackles ideal for standard rigging, connecting to chains and hoists, and perfect for confined spaces where smaller dimensions are pivotal.

We have one of, if not, the largest ranges of Dee Shackles online. However, if you require any assistance in choosing the correct model for your application, please don’t hesitate to contact our knowledgeable Sales Team, who will more than happy to assist.

WHAT IS A DEE SHACKLE?

A dee shackle, often referred to as a bow shackle, is a type of narrow shackle that is typically made of a strong material, such as stainless steel, and is shaped like a loop of chain. The shackle consists of a curved shape with a threaded pin or bolt closure across the straight side of the "D."

WHAT ARE DEE SHACKLES USED FOR?

Whilst dee shackles have a wide range of uses, they are most commonly used for connecting lifting slings, ropes, chains, or cables to lifting devices or objects. The dee shackle’s pin closure makes the attachment and removal particularly easy, which means that they can be used in many applications where temporary connections or adjustments are needed.

WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT COLOURS OF DEE SHACKLE MEAN?

Whilst different companies of industries may make use of different coloured dee shackles to represent different types, or weights of load, there is no standardised classification of colours indicating specific qualities about the weight bearing quality of a dee shackle. Rather, an individual organisation may use different colours to indicate certain qualities about the load that a dee shackle bears.
