WHAT ARE STAHL ELECTRIC CHAIN HOIST?

Stahl Electric Chain Hoists are one of many product ranges produced by German manufacturer, STAHL Cranesystems, who have been a subsidiary of Colombus Mckinnon Corporation since 2017. Founded in 1876, STAHL Cranesystems have been one of the leading manufacturers of electric chain hoists for decades. 

Stahl Electric Chain Hoists are used in the raising and lowering of heavy materials, and are recognised for their durability, suitability for various industrial applications, and their unique lime green colour.

HOW DO STAHL ELECTRIC CHAIN HOISTS WORK?

Stahl provides a number of unique electric chain hoists, each of which has a bespoke purpose and unique features that separate them from other electric chain hoists on the market. For example, there is the option to order a number of the Stahl electric chain hoists in an explosion proof variation. 


The Stahl ST Electric Chain Hoist is the more generic chain hoist within this range. The Stahl ST electric chain hoist uses a modular design format to allow for multiple configurations and, in turn, the lifting of materials in a number of different ways. This includes a hook trolley, push trolley, single speed travel trolley, and dual speed travel trolley. Furthermore the different models of the Stahl ST Electric Chain Hoists have different maximum operating loads, with the most compact model being able to lift 125 kg, whereas the most robust can handle 5000kg.

The winch of the Stahl ST Electric Chain Hoist is in conformance with German safety standard BGV C1. formerly known as VB8, BGV C1, or Berufsgenossenschaftliche Vorschrift (Employer's liability insurance association regulation) C1, is a regulation issued by the German Social Accident Insurance for lifting equipment and cranes that are used in commercial settings. These regulations include, equipment standards, safety measures, installation, and training, It is crucial that companies using and manufacturing lifting equipment in Germany conform to these regulations.
