At present, there are basically six types of lifting slings that are used in industrial and construction undertaking. The slings are classified as wire rope slings, synthetic rope slings, chain slings, web slings, metal mesh slings, and round slings and every sling has its own unique set of advantages and disadvantages which means that there is no single sling type that can serve multiple purposes.
